On the 2nd of December the Federal Communications Comission (FCC), has officially approved the
Nokia 6305i slider. Nokia 6305i is a multimedia
CDMA phone that takes advantage of the high-speed EV-DO 3G data technology. The 6305i isn't a smartphone
and thus isn't loaded up with features, but here are some of the one it has: stereo speakers, an "Airplane mode", a 16 bit 176x203 TFT display and a 1.3-megapixel camera with Flash. Unfortunately, the lack of other features like
Bluetooth, removable memory and support for
MP3's may hurt this phone's status.
It is also known that this is most likely one of the rumored
EV-DO Nokias which are actually rebranded phones produced by SK Teletech.
The phone should be available to the
Verizon network in Q1 of next year, but there has not been made any official announcement by Verizon or
Sprint yet and the price is still unknown.
