When the 6260 was created, it was probably made from scratch, for it gives off the impression that the manufacturers went back to the real reason for the invention of the mobile – that is, keeping in touch with your family or work. Therefore, Nokia came up with a device that did just that, and afterwards specialized it in other ways, more actual and modern ways of sharing.

In order to discuss the focus points of this device, we first must point out its other features, like high speed Internet, search and sharing, and fast search engine access. After also mentioning that the 6260 is a HSDPA/HSUPA 3G connection, Wi-Fi and A-GPS phone, we can move on to the really interesting features, such as that the points of interest are accessible directly from the home screen and what turns out to be a pleasant, quite fun experience with the 360 navigation key.

The uploading or downloading speed is spectacular, and accessing and making all kind of changes on sites or blogs is done with tremendous ease. Also, this is the first S40 phone to have GPS and Nokia Maps incorporated, while the Carl Zeiss, 5 Megapixel autofocus, flash camera completes the overall picture of this mobile.

After considering the slide, easy on the eyes design and the fact that it achieves noticeable and more than worth noting breakthroughs, by bringing navigation to the mass market, we just have to recommend this Nokia as an enhanced functionality phone for users all over the globe.

The 6260 slide is expected to start shipping in the first period of 2009, but no clear date information is available at the moment. Also, the price tag will rise to approximately 299 Euros, no taxes and subsidies included.
