Nokia 6210 Navigator, announced back in February, during MWC 2008, will be released sooner than everyone thought, and that is somewhere in the middle of this summer. Nokia showcased the 6210 Navigator at the Where 2.0 Conference in San Francisco (May 12 - 14), offering a glimpse of what users will have the chance to experience in just a few months.

Times Online posted a video presentation with the device, which also unveils the fact that the new Navigator will indeed hit the market in July the latest. Seeing as how Nokia first said the phone was planned to be released in the "third quarter of 2008", which could mean even September, the midsummer availability date sure is great news for mobile users who need advanced navigation features included in their handsets.

Nokia 6210 Navigator is the first GPS-enabled mobile phone that comes with an integrated electronic compass that will allow users to travel in and around cities easier than ever. Combined with Nokia Maps 2.0 and the built-in accelerometer, the compass always shows the right direction, regardless of the way you hold the device.

Besides the navigation features, the new 6210 also has other high-end specs: a 2.4 inch display with 240 x 320 pixels and 16 million colors, quad-band GSM, dual-band UMTS and dual-band HSDPA connectivity, geotagging, Media player, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash and video, USB 2.0, an internal memory of 120MB and microSD card support for a maximum of extra 8GB. All these features are packed in a slider case that weighs 117 grams and measures, when closed, 103 x 49 x 14.9 millimeters.

The retail price of Nokia 6210 Navigator will be around 300 Euros ($465), including a free GPS navigation license for 6 months. Europe will most probably be the first region to get the phone, with the US to follow shortly.
