The latest handset from Nokia's Navigator series, Nokia 6210 Navigator, was recently approved by FCC, hence it's ready to hit the US market.

Officially announced at the beginning of February, during MWC 2008, the 6210 is the successor of the popular 6110 Navigator, which was released by Nokia more than one year ago. Being a new version, the 6210 brings more advanced features, packed in a more attractive case (not that the old 6110 was unattractive, but you get the idea).

Nokia 6210 Navigator comes with quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz), plus dual-band HSDPA (900 / 2100 MHz) and dual-band UMTS (850 / 1900), hence it offers almost all you would want from this point of view. Among the handset's highlights we must mention: a 2.4 inch TFT display with 16 million colors and 240 x 320 pixels, built-in GPS as well as A-GPS, Symbian 9.3 S60 OS, Music and Video players, stereo FM radio, accelerometer, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with flash, auto focus and video recording, email and Internet capabilities, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, 120MB of internal memory, microSD card support for up to 8GB and so on.

Like its predecessor (6110), the 6210 Navigator has a slider form factor. Naturally, the new handset is both slimmer and lighter, measuring 4.05 x 1.92 x 0.58 inches (103 x 49 x 14.9 millimeters) and weighing 4.12 ounces (117 grams).

An exact US release date is not known for the moment but users should expect the Nokia 6210 to be available somewhere during the third quarter of the year. Or even sooner, if one of the important American carriers decides they need the Navigator and begins to sell it. The phone's price will be somewhere around $430, but with a contract agreement for one or more years this will be lower.
