Nokia has thought of an innovative way to advertise their 6110 Navigator mobile phone. It involves Ewan McGregor, Charley Boorman and an epic journey of the two from Scotland to Africa.

The two actors will take the "Long Way Down" to Cape Town on BMW motorcycles as good friends and passionate adventurers. Nokia 6110 plays a significant role in this journey, as it will help them best orientate on some of the most soliciting terrains in the world. The Navigator handset will provide media, communication and navigational needs in order to help the two men enjoy their journey.

"We've been playing around with the Nokia 6110 Navigator before setting off and it's just what we need to stay on track", said Ewan McGregor. Moreover, "During Long Way Round we kept getting lost and had to rely on anything from landmarks to advice from locals in all sorts of languages to find our way, so getting a proper navigational tool for Long Way Down was a real priority", he further said.

It is not the first time when Nokia puts their phones on a journey testing experience. They have done it before, with Nokia N95 model, which they sent on a sightseeing tour in China. This time, Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman will reach their destination on bicycle. Along the way, they will go through countries such as Libya, Sudan, Ehiopia, Rwanda and Namibia.

Nokia 6110 Navigator brings for its user easy-to-use maps, routing and voice guided navigation. Moreover, this handset comes with full turn-by-turn 3D navigation in order to offer best suggestions on the fastest way to reach a specific location, may it be on foot or by car.

BBC will also accompany the two actors along their journey, in order to create a six part TV series on account of the experiences which will take place along the trip.
