The new device is meant to offer mobile phone users in the country the ultimate music experience, while also including the urMusic service from Rogers Wireless, providing access to more than one million songs.

“Music can be a great connecting experience, one that we are proud to support at Rogers Wireless through our innovative music services such as urMusic and Wireless Box Office,” said John Boynton, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Rogers Wireless. “The touchscreen Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, the latest addition to our extensive lineup of music capable devices, is sure to appeal to music lovers who want access to the latest tracks, ringtones and tickets to exclusive Live Nation concerts, along with the ability to keep in touch with friends on the go.”

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is meant to enable users to enjoy a superior experience while listening to music, as it comes with a large storage space, powerful speakers and easy synchronization. Moreover, it also enables them to quickly and easily access and share music and other content with their friends and family.

Among the features that the handset comes with to the Canadian market we can count a 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen display, easy access to music, pictures and more directly from the home screen, built-in stereo speakers, video playback capabilities, enhanced navigation functionality with voice guided turn-by-turn navigation and City Guides, not to mention the support for Rogers' urMusic service, where users will be able to discover, browse and download songs from their favorite artists.

In addition, the device can also be coupled with music accessories to enhance users' experience even more, including the Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-103, offering the possibility to switch from music to important calls, or the Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset BH-503, which offers a crisp, high-quality audio and features music navigation buttons.

Those who would like to purchase the new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic from Rogers Wireless will find it available at $199.99 upon the signing of a three-year contract agreement with the company. The handset becomes available for purchase on the carrier's website starting today.
