The high-end Nokia 5800 XpressMusic was announced only last week to be heading towards UK users on Orange's airwaves starting May 29, while also featuring support for the Finnish mobile phone maker's Comes With Music service, and now we learn that Nokia also intends to make the handset available for purchase unlocked, though still including the same functionalities as the Orange version.

Mobile phone users in the UK who would like to acquire the Nokia 5800 Comes With Music unlocked will be able to do so starting Friday, May 22, and they will find the phone online, via the Nokia Shop website, as well as at the Nokia Regent Street and Nokia T5 stores. According to the news, the device is expected to sport a price tag of £299 (€340 or $458).

Moreover, it seems that those who will purchase the phone from the Nokia Regent Street will be able to pay only half its price, in case they are among the first 100 customers that will enter the store between 12PM and 13PM, while also having to bring with them two older devices (they can be old cell phones from any brand coupled with an iPod or an MP3 player as well).

The acquisition of a Nokia 5800 Comes With Music, as many of you might already know, will grant access to the Nokia Music Store, which features a catalogue of more than 6 million tracks from popular international labels and local artists. In addition, those who purchase the phone will also be able to download an unlimited number of tracks on their handset or on their personal computer for an entire year without paying additional fees, as the price of the subscription is included in the price of the phone. Those of you who live in the UK should head on to the Nokia Shop website starting May 22 in case they wish to benefit from the offer.
