Rogers has released today its newest Nokia cell phone, the 5310 XpressMusic, offering Canadian users the chance to own one of the slimmest music-oriented handsets currently on the market.

Already available in the US, via T-Mobile, Nokia 5310 XpressMusic measures only 103.8 x 44.7 x 9.9 millimeters, weighs 71 grams and comes with a range of pretty nice features. Users will get a dedicated music chip, advanced audio quality, a 3.5mm headset jack, Music player (MP3, MP4, AAC, eAAc and WMA supported), FM radio with RDS, a 2 inch TFT display with 16 million colors and a QVGA resolution (240 x 340 pixels), Opera Mini Web browser, Instant Messaging, mobile email, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, a 2 Megapixel camera, a 1GB memory card and so on.

For much more details about the new 5310 (and lots of pictures), you are invited to check out the phone's review (click here) made by Softpedia back in April.

Talking about the new XpressMusic handset, John Boynton, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Rogers Wireless, said: "Rogers Wireless is synonymous with youth and music, offering the latest innovations today's youth want in mobile music. The Nokia XpressMusic phone is the latest in music phones available at Rogers, providing our customers with incredible mobile music experiences. Today's announcement reinforces our leadership in multimedia phones on the market - which is music to my ears."

Together with the release of Nokia 5310 XpressMusic, Rogers also announced a contest that would allow the winner (and a guest of his/her choice) to participate at the 2008 edition of MuchMusic Video Awards, the "hottest awards show in Canada". To enter the competition, visit MMVA's website, found at this address.

Nokia 5310 XpressMusic can be bought for as low as 99.99 Canadian dollars by users who also sign (or siNG? since it's a music phone) a three-year contract agreement with Rogers. The handset can be found either online, on Rogers' website (at this address) or in Rogers' retail stores across Canada.
