The Finnish company joins the “Bendgate” saga

Even if Nokia is not in the mobile phone business anymore, the Finnish company remains one of the major players in the market thanks to its feature phones.

Once world’s more prolific handset maker, Nokia’s mobile phones have been praised for the sturdiness and reliability even if they weren’t tagged as rugged devices.

One such handset would be the Nokia 3310, which was amazingly popular at some point back in 2000. Although it’s been 14 years since the device was launched on the market, there are many people who still carry one in their pockets.

Some still consider the phone the best fit to suit their needs, while others simply can’t afford to switch to smartphone or a newer feature phone.

We’re not sure how many functional Nokia 3310 units still exist in the world, but considering the phone made headlines in the last couple of days, we believe it’s still a worthy enough gadget.

Obviously, most of the news is related to the “Bendgate,” so Apple fans may want to skip this if they don’t have any sense of humor.

Someone thought it would be nice to try and bend a Nokia 3310 with his own hands, which almost impossible unless you’re a really strong person and do not use your thumbs while trying this.

The funny animated picture posted by Reddit user GiveMeBackMySon also shows the results of a Nokia 3310 bend test, which seem to be unfortunate for the person’s thumbs.

Nokia 3310 has no trouble in stopping bullets to protect its owner

But Nokia 3310 is so sturdy that it can also stop bullets. The feature phone has suddenly become a star in Hong Kong where it protected the owner from a tear gas shell.

As you can see in the picture posted on Facebook, Nokia 3310 broke and the shell remained stuck between the display and the keypad.

We’re pretty sure the phone is not functional anymore, which is bad news for the owner as the Nokia 3310 is a thing of the past and very hard to come by these days.

So, Nokia 3310 doesn’t bend like the iPhone 6 and can also stop bullets. These are the phone’s strong points, but how about trying to blend one.

A hilarious “Will it blend?” video posted by Blendtec a few years ago shows how Nokia 3310, the indestructible handset able to withstand Thor’s hammer or survive a roundhouse kick from Chuck Norris, holds up to a total blender.

I’m not going to spoil it for you, so watch the result in the video embedded below. Let us know if you still own a Nokia 3310 and why are you still keeping it.
