New N-Gage and SNAP Mobile games

Nokia announced a strong presence at this year's Game Developers Conference (18 - 22 February, San Francisco), bringing new N-Gage and SNAP Mobile games, live demos of its N-Gage First Access program, plus a keynote by Anssi Vanjoki, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Markets, Nokia.

"This year is our biggest GDC to date," said Jaakko Kaidesoja, Director, Games, Nokia. "We have a great presence to share our latest developments with the games industry, including live demos of the N-Gage service, new games, and informational presentations that will help game developers create better mobile games."

The new N-Gage games include: "Worms World Party" by THQ Wireless; "SPEED RACER", "The Dark Knight" and "Super Slam Ping Pong" by Glu Mobile; "DChoc Caf? Sudoku", "DChoc Caf? Solitaire 12-Pack" and "DChoc Caf? Hold' Em Poker" by Digital Chocolate. Also, Nokia Games Publishing will present new titles like "Dirk Dagger and the Fallen Idol", a detective adventure game, and Yamake, where users make their own games. In addition, Nokia's Java gaming solution, SNAP Mobile, will offer a customized, multiplayer mobile version of the highly popular "Chuzzle" puzzle by PopCap Games.

Anssi Vanjoki, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Markets, Nokia, will give a keynote titled "Play with anybody everywhere - context, the new paradigm for game play". This keynote will address Nokia's move into context aware services, the impact that handsets have on entertainment around the globe, and N-Gage's role in the future of mobile games industry. Moreover, a series of case studies and mobile lectures will be presented by Nokia executives.

Nokia's GDC booth is located in the North Hall of the Moscone Convention Center and can be visited from the 20th to the 22nd of February, when guests will be able to participate at live demonstrations of mobile gaming activities related to the N-Gage and SNAP Mobile services. There will also be presentations on various topics, including mobile game design and developing games for growing markets, like China and India.
