NoScript extension for Mozilla Firefox has received multiple updates recently, the latest bringing the version number to 2.6.5.6.

The developer improved the extension by adding a workaround for a Gecko race condition that allowed some script-enabled attackers to make the charset-mismatch checks abort prematurely.

Also improved is the parsing while decoding mixed-charset encoded URLs and the decoding of maliciously mixed-charset encoded strings. Furthermore, a bug in broken string literals balancing has been eliminated.

In the latest revision, the only modification made was to enhance the syntax check optimization, which now removes any harmful side effects that might have occurred.

NoScript allows JavaScript, Java, Flash and other plugins to be executed only by trusted websites of your choice. It is easy to use and configure and you can download it from this page.
