NoScript extension for Firefox has been updated over the weekend to version 2.5.7. It took the developer no less than five release candidates to get to the current build, which incorporates only repairs.

NoScript 2.5.7 fixes synchronous timeout emulation ordering bug in bookmarklet execution on pages with no scripts. Repairs related to XSS (cross-site-scripting) have also been made, as the developer eliminated the URLs sanitization issue and the problem with comment preprocessing optimization, which affected free JavaScript detection.

Additional modifications include repairing problems with the meta refresh blocker notification bar, iframe placeholder positioning. False positive on cross-site SVG document embedding (ClearClick) has also been solved.

NoScript allows JavaScript, Java, Flash and other plugins to be executed only by trusted websites of your choice. You can download it from this page.
