A new version for NoScript has been launched. The current build, 2.5.5, was preceded only by two release candidate versions and the list of changes is quite short, with only two entries available.

NoScript 2.5.5 features one single improvement, which consists in more reliable Java applet origin identification.

The other modification in this revision refers to a workaround for a bug that caused popup loads to be aborted and the browser to hang on exit.

There have also been reports that on Windows 32-bit Firefox with NoScript installed caused ghost windows after browsing for some while. The misbehavior was recorded on Aurora and nightly builds of the browser.

NoScript allows JavaScript, Java, Flash and other plugins to be executed only by trusted websites of your choice. You can download it from this page.
