No, Really? She Really Has Breast Implants?

I haven't written anything about the former Destiny's Child alumn and Beyonce's BFF Kelly Rowland in a while – mainly because she's one of those stars who seem to fade away for a while, only to make what seems to be a "comeback", only to disappear off the radar again, and so on. But don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not saying that Kelly's star is fading – on the contrary, her 2008 single "Work" and her upcoming release "Daylight" both sound very good and I'm sure the re-release of her album "Miss Kelly" will also go well enough with her fans and the rest of the American audience. What I'm saying is that Kelly is sometimes an elusive performer, who often manages to surprise – and intrigue us with her choices, musical or otherwise.

Let's take her looks for example. It's obvious from the photo I've attached to this post that Kelly has had a little work done to her boobs. OK, maybe it was a little more than "a little" - not that there's anything technically wrong with that, but I must admit, I'm a bit shocked at the reason she gave for deciding to go under the knife and get a boob job. In an interview with People magazine, she admitted she had been thinking of doing this kind of surgery since she was 17, and finally at the end of last year, she went from an A-cup to a B-cup. "I didn't want double Ds and be a little bitty size 2. That would look nuts", she confessed.

Well, what can I say – I think she's got nice boobs now (I mean, it's not like she turned herself into Pamela Anderson or anything), although I still find it shocking that young girls start dreaming of having silicone inserted into their breasts when they are 17 and their bodies haven't fully matured yet. Didn't Britney confess to actually getting a boob job at 17? Anyway, Kelly also admitted she wanted bigger boobs because she wanted to look sexier in designer clothes – which is probably one of the silliest reasons I heard in a while for having breast enhancement surgery. Kelly said there was "this one really hot House of Dereon top -- I just wanted to fill that out!" Beyonce must be one hell of a best friend if she's got Kelly promoting her fashion label while talking about her own breasts. As they say, love and friendship conquer all, right?
