Rating are in, and only 374,000 people tuned in for the premiere episode

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian were so determined to “set the record straight” on all those tabloid reports making the rounds that they actually agreed to do an entire reality show (a full season of it, to be more exact) around these rumors. So LeAnn & Eddie, premiering last week on VH1, came to be.

From figures released by Deadline, it doesn’t look realistic for fans to expect the entire first season to air, let alone for VH1 to order a second one, because only 374,000 people tuned in to see the premiere.

In other words, expect viewership to drop some more by the second episode and even more by the third. Compared to the other new show on the network, “Dating Naked,” LeAnn & Eddie was a disappointment, as the former had “826,000 total viewers with 480,000 among Adults 18-49.”

That said, it’s funny that LeAnn would tweet about how the show’s premiere was a “success” and how she was thankful to both fans “AND haters” for making it so. She claimed she had heard from network bosses, but it looks like she might have jumped the gun with that self-congratulatory message.

Some time ago, rumor had it that LeAnn was looking to get pregnant because she was convinced that this would guarantee her a second season of the series. Right now, I’d say she’s lucky if VH1 airs half a season.
