Eva Longoria was really serious when she said she wants to shake off the 'sexy kitten' image the ABC hit series created. Even more, she said in a recent interview that she plans to quit working on television series altogether.
The 31-year-old actress, who has worked on two feature films already, says that she won't stop acting in the part of the sexy Gabrielle in 'Desperate Housewives', meaning she won't disappear in the middle of the show, but that this one will be her last project.
'I would never leave "Desperate Housewives". I love doing both [TV and film], but I would never do another TV show after "Desperate Housewives". No.', the actress said, apparently very set to do exactly just that.
She refused to give any other details as to the direction her career will take once shooting for the series is concluded, but one can only imagine that she will focus all her attention on more serious parts. In this respect, fans all over the world, will see Eva in 'How I Met My Boyfriend's Dead Fiancée', in 2007, opposite Paul Rudd.
She also has a major part in 'The Sentinel', also starring Michael Douglas and Longoria says there's only one reason that made her want the role: 'I wanted to show the audience I was capable of doing something else, before they could see me as Gabrielle'.
