GameStop has confirmed that it's no longer accepting any pre-orders for the PlayStation 4 next-gen console, as apparently the stocks allocated for the large retailer have run out.

The PlayStation 4 is expected to appear this fall, right alongside the Xbox One, and many gamers manifested their interest by pre-ordering one or both consoles at retailers like GameStop.

After a period of unlimited stocks in terms of the PS4, it seems that GameStop has now decided to stop accepting pre-orders for Sony's next-gen device.

According to GameInformer, "due to the high demand for the system, GameStop is not currently taking additional store reservations for the PlayStation 4."

The retailer's website lists the device as sold out, but customers who didn't get a chance to pre-order the PS4 can enter their email address for a notification when it's back online.
