Apple is no longer carrying any first-generation iPads on the Special Deals section of its online store - the only place where you could secure an original version of the tablet computer as a refurbished product, straight from its makers.

Ever since Apple stopped producing the original iPad, the company has been selling refurbished units through its online store’s dedicated section. As of today, not a single 2010 tablet can be found to buy.

The last time I saw them iPad 1s on Apple Deals they were selling like hot cake at amazing $230 discounts. Since the company no longer makes them, those looking to score a similar discount are now at the mercy of returned units.

Yes, there’s still a chance to get an iPad 1 at $399 or less in the future. Just don’t bet on it.
