14 DAY TRIAL // Despite hints based on a companion, the famous Drizzt Do’Urden will not appear in the upcoming Menace of the Underdark expansion for Dungeons & Dragons Online.
Speaking to games.on.net, Turbine stated, “We’ve already had some great feedback on the Onyx Panther Figurine. Many of our players love that stuff, so I am sure you will see more of it in the future.”
The developer added, “Already in Menace of the Underdark, we are interacting with other famous characters from the D&D universe like Elminster and Lolth. Like we have said a few times, the great thing about coming to the Forgotten Realms is that it is just the beginning of a new campaign for us. We will continue to release new stories and adventures in regular game updates in the future.”
The company also went on to clarify that, even if Drizzt Do’Urden himself is not found in the Menace of the Underdark expansion, he might be offered in future content upgrades as long as the developer works out a deal with Wizards of the Coast, the company who holds the right to the character.
