14 DAY TRIAL // A few days ago, hackers defaced the websites of several casinos operated by Las Vegas Sands. The defacement images contained what appeared to be data from the sites’ databases. However, the company says there’s no evidence that customer information has been compromised.
According to the Associated Press, the Nevada Gaming Control Board Chairman A.G. Burnett is monitoring the investigation into the data breach. The organization has been informed by Sands that the integrity of the gambling systems and player details have not been impacted.
The FBI and the Secret Service are investigating the incident.
The hacktivists have posted a message of protest on the websites of the Venetian, Palazzo, Marina Bay Sands, Sands Macao, Venetian Macao, Holiday Inn Macao Cotai Central and Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem.
They were displeased with a statement made by Sands CEO Sheldon Adelson in which he said that the US should nuke Iran.
Currently, the targeted websites are still offline.
