As much as I used to think that nothing in this world related to Britney Spears could possibly surprise me, once again I must admit defeat. But at least this time, the shock is... well, positive, if I may say so. Although many of you were probably unaware of this tiny little detail (lost among the bigger troubles in the pop singer's crazy life), Brit Brit and her paparazzi lover Adnan were still together, still going strong. Sorry, couldn't help the cliché - but it's true, as far as the latest reports confirm. Or at least it was true, given that Britney apparently decided to finally give the treacherous photographer the boot.
Reason? Well, does Britney really need a reason? This is in fact the spectacularly illogical thing about Brit kicking Adnan's a*s out of her temporarily calm life: this guy did so much damage to her image, betrayed her in so many ways, sold his story to the media and generally acted like a lowlife rat on so many occasions, and yet she still stuck to him. But now it seems that Britney finally made up her mind and told Adnan it was all over. Reason? She found a series of compromising text messages in his telephone and finally realized Adnan was cheating on her. I know, kinda slow - but at least she finally kicked him put, which is good news. I really wasn't looking forward to Adnan releasing a sex tape featuring Brit Brit any time soon. Oh, the horror...
"There were about a dozen (texts) from one girl, all sent in one day", says a source quoted by British tabloid The Sun. "They were pretty saucy stuff with sexual references - certainly not the sort you'd send to a friend. Britney lost it and started yelling. She was demanding to know who sent the texts and shouting, 'What's this about? You're cheating on me.' Adnan said she was just a friend but Britney got more and more angry. Then she told him, 'That's it. It's over'", the same source adds. I can only hope this will last, and that Britney won't bring Adnan back during one of her wild mood swings - so in case you care, fingers (and toes) crossed.
