I guess Britney Spears wasn't at the Grammys last night. What, are you telling me she wasn't nominated? Like, at all? In no category? Well, yes, apparently (and very surprisingly) there is no Grammy award for "trainwreck of the year", although even then she probably would have lost to Amy Winehouse. Kidding. Actually, when put next to Brit Brit, even famously drugged-out Wino looks a picture of health, all the more so since she's finally made it to rehab, cleaned her infamous beehive, put on some much-needed weight and gave an impressive performance broadcast live in the States as part of the Grammy award show. What has Brit done lately? Well, she checked herself out of the psych ward at the UCLA Medical Center and ever since that happened - much to the surprise and shock of the rest of us - she's been up to her old tricks - driving around aimlessly, hooking up with her paparazzi boyfriend and looking like a homeless drug addict.

So, here are some new shots of Britney that prove the troubled popwreck still has serious mental issues. No, I'm not kidding - a normal person would never go out in public looking like that. I'm not just talking about the revolting combination of clothes she's wearing - even though the torn fishnets and those horrible boots that she's used and abused about a million times basically scream "mentally deranged" - I'm talking about the fact that Britney seems to have forgotten basic personal hygiene. Her hair is dirty, her shirt is stained, she's not wearing a bra and she came out for a smoke carelessly adjusting her panties in full view of the paparazzi - not to mention the fact that her shirt is about to fall off completely and expose her naked upper half of the body. Now in my books, that's crazy. Somebody, force her to take a bath already!

I really can't make up my mind which part is the saddest: the fact that Brit Brit is still crazy and that she doesn't seem to have gotten any help at all since being committed, or the fact that she's making this so obvious. These shots of Britney out smoking looking like she hasn't had a shower in months hurt me - and I'm not even kidding on this one. They make me extremely sad, especially since I've been looking at photos of glamorous Grammy winners all morning and it's hard to forget that a few short years back Britney was on the list - actually, she was right there on stage performing with the big names. Well, I guess all good things come to an end. It's still very sad, though...
