Google Street View has covered a lot of the world by now and it's not just streets, it's museums and national parks as well. A few locations have been a bit more elusive, though, but Google is adding them as well. In theme with the spotlight on London these days, the famous Downing Street, No. 10 location has made it into Google Maps.
The historic residence of the "UK Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer" is probably one of the best known addresses in the world. Now, you can visit it in person even if you're not in London for the Olympic games.
Everyone's very familiar with what the front of the door and of the house looks like; in Street View, it's going to be a lot more interesting to see how everything else around it looks. Perhaps you'll be surprised to see that the "front" of the house is actually quite secluded and that Downing Street is not much of a street at all, which makes sense from a security point of view.
