Having Jerry Bruckheimer's name attached to a television series doesn't guarantee it will be a successful one and especially not on Fox. This is not the first time that the famed producer sees one of his shows canceled on the network for lack of audience, as 'Skin' came to the very same fate, being yanked from the screens after only one short season.
The same goes for big names: having Victor Garber ('Alias'), a relatively known face on the small screen, in a legal drama does not imply that the series will reach the general public. So, the Fox executives took the smart step of taking the show off the schedule.
Initially, 'Justice' was aired during a 9 P.M. Wednesday slot and then was tentatively moved to the Monday one, at the same hour. However, it still failed to draw an audience, with less than 5.9 million viewers tuning in last week, just half the number that watched 'Prison Break'.
The c-word was not used to describe the fact that 'Justice' will no longer air, the Fox executives going for a more subtle approach: 'It's been pulled from the schedule', was how a network spokesperson mildly put it. However, it is believed that shooting for 'Justice' will conclude when they reach the 13th episode and there will be no other nine to back these up. As a matter of fact, it is yet unsure whether the network will air all 13 episodes, given the low level of interest manifested by the viewers.
'Justice' will be replaced by re-runs of 'House', which will fill the Monday slot until '24' returns in January.
