Niveus Media has just announced an updated version of the Niveus Storage Server as well as the brand-new Niveus Storage Server Pro. The Storage Server model can support up to 4 Terabytes of storage and is the best scalable solution to deliver data redundancy for the digital media files.

The Storage Server comes with the Niveus Reflection proprietary software, which allows other storage Servers in remote locations to mirror data and spread the incremental changes all over the network of servers. The stored content can be accessed from anywhere via the Internet. The server also supports an automated backup feature that can copy the data on the Storage Servers to a Master server.

"With the release of Niveus Reflection Technology, our customers have an automated system for managing their data across multiple locations," states Tim Cutting, CEO and Co-Founder, Niveus Media. "Now, Niveus customers can enjoy one of the most advanced and mature personal storage server products available on the market."

The need for reliable storage is continuously growing, with the advent of digital, high-definition content. Multimedia consumers now have the opportunity of storing their digital content collections in a single place and access them from anywhere in the world. The Niveus Storage Server is a scalable network storage device that is enclosed in a high-end design to match home theater appliances. It is Universal Plug-N-Play compatible, and it can be integrated into any home network.

Should the user need more storage space, they can add additional Storage Servers for a modular upgrade. The devices operate at zero noise, as they do not feature fans or moving parts. The Niveus Media Server gets a power boost with Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows Vista, which makes it transparent to the user, while the graphical user interface is an extremely helpful assistant during the set up procedure.

The device is available for sale, but don't expect it to be a bargain. The 2TB edition sells for as much as $2,999, while the 4TB version will make you pay $5,999.
