The icon pack works on an array of Linux distributions

Nitrux OS Icons, a pack of handcrafted icons that are compatible with numerous Linux distributions, including Ubuntu, Linux Mint, and Arch Linux, has received another update and is now available for download.

The icons in Nitrux OS are infinitely scalable, which is one of the most interesting features of this icon pack. This is also one of the biggest collections for the Linux platform, which means that it will be hard to find an application that is not supported.

According to the changelog, this is a very small release. The icons for Hugin, Meshlab, Musicbrainz, and Tuxguitar have been corrected. It seems that it's getting more and more difficult to bring significant changes to an almost perfect icon pack.

The installation for Ubuntu 13.10 (13.04, 12.10, and 12.04) is quite simple and can be done from a terminal, with the help of a PPA. This type of installation is preferable because it will allow the icon pack to update along with the system. Open a terminal and enter the following commands (you will need to be root for this to work).

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:upubuntu-com/nitrux sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install nitruxos

For Arch Linux, enter the following command:

yaourt -S nitrux-icon-theme

You can also download Nitrux OS Icons 3.2.7 right now from the gnome-look.org.
