Nitrux OS Icons is a beautiful collection of handcrafted icons that are compatible with a lot of operating systems, including Ubuntu, Linux Mint, and Arch Linux, and it just received another weekly update.

The icons in Nitrux OS are infinitely scalable, which is one of the most interesting features of this icon pack. The designers of these icons don't need to make different versions for 32px, 48px, 64px, 128px because scalable icons work on every resolution.

The Nitrux pack has been growing steadily and now it has passed 6000 icons. With so many personalized entries you are almost guaranteed that any software you will install, the Nitrux designers would have something already implemented. And, if you find any app that doesn't have an icon, the designers will make sure to get it in with the next update.

According to the developer, the Gpick, Imagemagick, Gmusicbrowser, Cantata, and Display Settings icons have been revised.

Also, the icons for Visualboy Advanced, TOR, Xmind, DockbarX, Bloglio, Audex, Ktnef, Geogebra, Knoe, Gtali, Gtick, Mirage, Super Tux Kart, tint2, ArgoUML, A Widget Factory, Canopy, Murder Files, Cream, Deepin Software Center, Dogecoin, EagleCAD, Eidete, Fade In, Flareget, Fogger, Gespeaker, Ghex, LDView, Golly, Google Translate, GRUB Customizer, Gummi, Hydrogen drum machine, Hipchat, Intel Installer, IPython, JabRef, Kadu, Kile, Kingsfot Cloud, and Lucky Backup have been fixed.

The installation for Ubuntu 13.10 (13.04, 12.10, and 12.04) is quite simple and can be done from a terminal, with the help of a PPA:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:upubuntu-com/nitrux sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install nitruxos

For Arch Linux, enter the following command:

yaourt -S nitrux-icon-theme

You can also download Nitrux OS Icons 3.2.5 right now from the gnome-loor.org.
