Nissan to Test Its Zero-Emission Van in the UK

A new partnership between FedEx Express and Nissan would enable the automaker to test its series of zero-emission, all-electric NV200 vans on the streets of London. Under the recent deal, Nissan could see how reliable and pollution-free its vehicle really is.

At this point in time, the green van launched by Nissan depends on the same kind of battery used to power the already popular Nissan Leaf that is currently considered the best-selling electric car on an international scale. Therefore, this feature could make people consider the NV200 an attractive option.

The project helps FedEx minimize its carbon footprint and redefine its position as a company showing a deep respect for the environment.

“At FedEx, we seek to connect the world in responsible and resourceful ways and we will continue to work closely with Nissan to change what is possible,” revealed officials from the company.

Meanwhile, Nissan representatives hope the two-month trial will prove the utility of their eco-conscious van, combining an active “environmental role” with the even more appealing “best in class running costs.”
