Nissan has recently launched a funny promotional video, aiming to celebrate its eco-friendly Leaf.

Plug and his friends are sent on a mission to Zero Planet, similar to Earth, but powered entirely by renewables like wind and solar power, Autobloggreen informs.

Even though Leaf has managed to capture the attention of a large segment of eco-conscious buyers, Nissan felt the need to green up the audience a little more, through this six-minute video.

The automakers have revealed that their initiative has an educational purpose. Through the Planet Zero website, the company wants to raise the level of awareness of high-school kids and college students, highlighting the environmental benefits of a zero-emission sustainable society, one of the most ambitious goals announced by Nissan so far.
