Music games are on an ever ascending trend in terms of both popularity and sales in a lot of territories. The fact that titles such as Guitar Hero or Rock Band are now available on all of the three consoles makes them even more attractive to a lot of gamers who possess only one type of such machines.

The recent installment of the Rock Band franchise onto the Nintendo Wii brought along the Music Store, which allows players to download new tracks to play in the game, besides the ones already found on the original disc of Rock Band. The story has been slowly but surely filled with songs that are already available for download for owners of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation versions of the title, but this new update is something worth mentioning.

Famous grunge band Nirvana will bring seven tracks from its album entitled "Nevermind." The songs, which were adopted by the more powerful consoles in October last year, are "Breed," "Lounge Act," "On a Plain," "Polly," "Something in the Way," "Stay Away," and "Territorial Pissings." We also have to mention that the Wii Music Store also features two more tracks from the famous band, "In Bloom" and "Drain You," but sadly "Lithium," "Come as You Are," and "Smells Like Teen Spirit," three of the most popular songs of the famous music group, still can't be played in Rock Band.

The price for each of these tracks is 200 Wii Points and will surely attract a lot of would-be Wii rockers to download them and live once again the great moments that Kurt Cobain and his colleagues brought to us during the 1990s. Let's hope that more and more songs will be introduced to Rock Band and that we can all enjoy our favorite tracks together with our friends.
