This is an awsome game for anyone who likes dogs or wants dogs. appropriate for any age (well older kids, not babies!) this game is quite realistic too!
The only regreat i have is that all the nintendogs have the same breeds. i wish that each different version of nintendogs would have new breeds to unlock.
There are a few real and serous cheats i would like to share. you can trust me entirely on these cheats, i will not post if i have not had personal experiances with these cheats.
To restart in a contest when you think that you are about to lose. just remember to save before the trial. and turn the game off before the judges give the final scxore. U MUST SAVE B4 THE SHOW!
Don't spend all that time trying to earn trainer points! Instead, if you have a friend that has the dog you want on his/her game and you do bark mode with each other and the friend brings that dog, when you exit out of bark mode you will have that breed in the kennel! This works for any breed, but onlyb once for each different version of nintendogs.
When you are out on a walk with your dog and he/she drags behind just grab the lead and pull it to the top-right corner and your dog should start running!
If you want to delete your dog and start over, here is what you do: Click on the ds game startup button that says nintendogs when you turn your ds on. When the Nintendo screen comes up after you click on nintendogs, hold down the X, Y, A, B, L, and R button at the same time until a pop-up comes up confirming that you want to delete your dog. Click OK and start over with the dog of your choice. (For all nintendogs games)

I really like nintendogs. Right now I have a Boxer named Lucy a Golden Retriever named Daisy and a Shetland Sheepdog named Molly!!!! There really cute. I got the game for Christmas and i'v been playing it ever since. My boxer Lucy is a 6 time champion in agility and Daisy is a champion in Disk. Right now im training my newest puppy Molly, the disk competion. And my trainer points right(since it changes every day) is 14,280 that makes me a Star Handler. YAH:)

I must admit it is cool but i have over 30 000 and I am a charismatic trainer YAH! :)

Best way to get trainer points/$/new breeds!!!
if you find a certain competition is really easy for you and your dogs then get at least three dogs that do good at that event, get them all at championship level. enter them all in 3 competitioins in a day, (which is 9,000 a day!) and your trainor points and money will increase ridiculousley fast. you just have to find a way to fit doing this in your daily schedule. i did this for a week and a half and unlocked two breeds, got up to 50,000 dollars and i have like 18,346 trainer points!

Nintendogs is one of my fav games!!I have over 40,000 points and about $11,000. I REALLY WANT A MINI DAUCHSUND!!! I think they're adorable. I do sort of agree that they should have different breeds on each game. at least on each one they come at different times

On Dalmatian & Friends i have a yorkie named Rocket, a Shetland Sheepdog named Fido, a Miniature Schnauzer named Quark, a Shih Tzu named Cocoa, a Golden Retriever named Buddy, a Husky named Boots, a Cavlier K.C Spaniel named Holly. On Dachshund & Friends all i have is a Dachshund named Izzy. You guys like the names?

This is not true. I have a Shibu Inu. mY best friend had a sleep over at my place nd we bark moded nd she had a Shibu Inu so i got one aswell. Now I Have 4 dogs. a Shibu Inu Named Jesse. A Golden called Ruby. A Beagle Called Misty. And A Welsh Corgi Called Peggy.

You just need to Barkmode really unless you do find it on a walk, oh and shaun the percentage is about 30 percent although you can barkmode with some one who has the book and didn't want the dog or w/ someone who did what i did, buy the dog, sell the book

i have this game its soo awsome it be my fav if i diddnt have animal crossing i have a dalmation named dotty a yorkie named bubbles and a calevier kc spanial named belle and i noticed the best dogs for agility trials from past playing is shetlan sheepdog golden retrievers and over all dalmations the worst are yorkies and chuiauaus there legs are too shrt and there bodies arent long enough.I make at least 355 tranier points a day and i walk my dogs whenever i can i only have 1 dog who does compititios too so its pretty impressive

Georgia, i have a golden named rose who one 12 times i personally think than goldens are the best at agility, chihuahuas are best at obedience and german shephard are the best at disk. i only have 8,000 points but i have won 12 times at championship (agility)

I have Dalmatian and friends, it's a great game but I really want to unlock new breeds faster! At the moment I have 3 King Charles Spaniels (Tia, Sampson & Peach) , 1 dalmatian(Dilly) and a shiatsu(Blondie). I would love any help for unlocking breeds, I've one got gold in the championships of Agility trials many times before but my trainer points don't seem to be increasing much.

I've had this game since it came out!! My friends and I loved the nintindogs games and we played them non stop for a long time (then we sorta took a long break) but i've started playing mine again. I've been playing mine for about a week now and i've gotten about 20,000 points just by walking and doing agility trials. I have a dalmation (spottie, original isn't it lol) and its a 38 (and counting) time champ at agility. I have a shepard called fudgey (I made it a long while ago, but i hadn't done anything with him) but he now is at half bar for walks and is a 9 time agility champ. My newest dog, a sheltie called Hazel, i've had for about 3 days or so and its a 4 time agility champ.

My tips for anyone whos playing is to not worry about how many trainer points you have and just play because they stack up faster then. Then when your wanting to go on walks give your dogs food and drink (i give them milk and the all natural food) then give them a shampoo and finnially brush them and you should get more presents (lucky collar seems to help to). Doing this with my dog spottie got me 4 bowser karts (2 in one day) and a bunch of hats (5 lion mains, 1 rainbow wig, 2 sumbraos, 1 fireman hat, 1 new year tiara, 1 newsboy hat, and a few others that I had a ton of already.)

I'm right now saving to get outerspace or beach (i could buy beach right now, but i can't decide what i want yet) but to everyone, happy nintindoging! (i don't care if thats a word, it is now! lol)

let me just striaghten a few things out. if your on a walk and your dog barks once when you find a mystery box, it doesnt mean it is a present. LISTEN TO THE MUSIC! if te music stops, it is a present if it doesnt, it's a dog. however if your dog barks twice it is for sure a dog. i read somewhere that if your dog is beautiful when you use the brush to get more trainer points then you will get more trainer points instead of 1. IT IS A LIE. if you have anymore questions i am listening. i ama Nintendogs Expert

This is the best game for anybody who likes dogs and I really think you should get it but when you get it get it at EB Games. They sell used games that work like they are brand new but the games are 5 to 10 dollars less than brand new. Tip: Never use dog shampoo. Brushing your dog makes it clean so you don't have to buy shampoo. IF YOU WANT THIS GAME GET BEST FRIENDS BECAUSE YOU HAVE ALMOST ALL THE DOGS UNLOCKED AT THE START AND IT CHEAPER.IF I AM WRONG ABOUT THIS DON'T BLAME ME BECAUSE MY BEST FRIEND TOLD ME. if you have a short/long haired dog it wont matter.if you put your brush on your dog over night you may get hundreds of tranier points.but if you do it please put your charger in just in case your ds goes out of carge. When you are walking, your dog, look on the top screen and you will see blue dots. This is where your dog has previously done a pee. Whenever you go over one of the spots it will make your dog stop to sniff. If you want a quick walk the try to avoid them.

here's a hint:when your out walking your dog be sure to keep watching the top screen cause if you see the picture of the dog on the top screen stop in one spot of your walk there will be trash that your dog will eat or a present. [the presents you find on the path are better,i got cool mario stuff from those and a bowser kart that is worth $100!]

I'ts impossible to have puppies because they ARE puppies. And puppies can't have puppies! Please STOP waisting your time, I have tried all the tricks and ways to do it and they DON'T work, and the videos on youtube are action replay cheats or edited to make them smaller to look like puppies.

You can't breed, I've tried EVERYTHING! So DON'T waste your time. The videos on youtube are edited to look smaller or people use the action replay to change the sizes of their dogs. PLEASE beleave me.

A fast way to get T.P is to get all of your dogs to the Championship of every contest and do 3 contents a day. You can also leave a brush on a dog over night. But remember to LEAVE THE NINTENDO DS OPEN AND PLUG IN THE CHARGER!!!! Hope it helped!

I have Dalmations and Friends and right now I have 41,583 points!!! If you want to earn lots of points make your dog move up to championships in any competition and then win them!!! You can only have 3 trials on each dog so it helps if you have lots of dogs. My old dog, Mickey won the championships over 30 times! And I know people are telling you if you want new dogs to press all the buttons but that deletes your money, items, and stuff. Really all you have to do is press "Go Out" then "Shop" then "Dog Hotel" then "Donate dog" and donate all but one of your dogs. Then, go buy your first dog you want then really quick donate your other dog! Then of course train your puppy like normal. :) I hope that helped!! Also another way to get points is take your dog for a walk. If you dont take them anywhere, you earn only about 20. But if you take them to the park, and play with them for the maximum time you can earn maybe like 35. Its really good!

That happened to my little brother too. He had a dog that he was trying to name jack, but it just wouldn't listen. Are you using the same intonation? If you are, try naming him something else, that worked for him.

A way to increase your trainer points really fast, is to get a brush (one for short haired dogs and one long haired) and just leave your rubber brush or wire brush on your dog while you go to school or overnight. In an hour, your trainer points will increase by about 100 points.

OR

You can pet your dog for a while as long as you don't lose their attention. When you see little stars around where you were petting your dog, you'll get some trainer points. But not that much, probably like 5 points.

So the better option here is to leave the brush on your dog whenever you're away for a couple hours.

Hope this helps! (I got around1000 trainer points in 10 hours by leaving the brush on my dog all night -- sorry it's long)

If u want to get lots of trainer points really fast try to get your dog(s) to the Championship in every competition. Also if you need trainer points very soon when your done caring for your dog don`t turn off your d.s. Go to the place where you brush your dog and put the brush on the dog. Close your d.s and leave it on over night. In the morning when you play the game you should have gotten crap loads of trainer points. (P.S Sorry if this cheat doesn`t work.)

I have Nintendogs and I`m only buying long-haired dogs so I won`t spend money on short-hair and long-hair shampoo. Also so that I don`t need to keep up with as many dogs and spend so much money on everything the dogs need. But the problem is that I don`t know if the Husky is short haired or long haired. I was hoping someone could help me with my problem. I`m really excited because they`re the next dog I`ll unlock.

The one I got 4 years ago is Dalmatian & Friends with all of the Long-Haired Dogs except the Dachshund. The game I got for Easter this year is Dachshund & Friends with only a Dachshund named Izzy. I know of a cheat that will let u do more than 3 contests in a day. Don`t do any contests one day with your Nintendog(s). Then in the morning do 3 and in the afternoon you might be able to do 3 more. Hope it helped!

Well, to be honest I dont like Nintendogs...I LOVE IT, I got it last month. I only got Dalmatian and friends, but my friend has the game and she has had it ever since it came out and she has 99,999 tp!!!
You know that tip on when you leave the brush on over night you get loads of trainer points it works, I've used the cheat twice, and I've now got 19568 tp, I'm hoping to get the husky, and shiba inu.

Heres a trick:

1. Choose a dog that you have had for a long time, I reccomend the oldest, that has a long stamina then take it out for a walk, on all the ? boxes then end up going to the park, change the acccesories so it will save and then switch off your ds. Then you can go on walks as much as you like with the same dog, wich means more items and more tp, so if you go for about 10 walks you get a 1000 tp!

Okay.. I know that there are a few people out there that want to know how to breed.. I KNOW HOW.. I tried this on my Chihuahua and Friends Nintendogs, and it WORKS!! Here is what you have to do... first, you need to get 2 dogs, same breed, same color (best if you do) in the same day. They have to be female, and male. next, make sure they are the only 2 at your house (make sure you have a soit available for the coming puppy). next, feed those 2 dogs only dry food, and milk. You should see them to start to cuddle, and play friendly (MAKE SURE YOU DONT BRING FEMALE ON WALKS, AND CONTESTS!!). In 2 weeks or less, you should notice that the female is getting fatter, and fatter. in a few more days, the puppy is delivered.. THIS TAKES TIME, AND PATIENCE..

You can get a Shiba inu on Dalmatian and Friends. I've had the game for about 2 years now, but I restarted. On my new game I found the japanese Print Collar on a random walk. I was so excited. Now I have a Shiba Inu named Renji and he's adorable, and a great obedience dog ;-)

Okay I got the JACK RUSSEL BOOK.

I had my oldest dog , daisy my dalmatian. It had the purple pearl ribbon and full stamina.
She was clean (coat), Full and Quenched and umm... I prayed the night before and I got it.

hi every body my name is jilly and my nintendogs are a little strange yesterday my friend came over with her nintendogs and her nintendog bit me and had a flea. i knew my friend wasnt taking care of her dogs. my dogs names are lulu the beagle tiny the dalmaition and bear my german shepared . one day my german shepared found a present and it was a stick i freekd out case that was my 69th stick i got today . anyways my dog lulu is out on a walk and lulu found:blue leather collar , camo collar , striped ribbon ,blue polka_dot ribbon , red polka_dot ribbon , pair of scholar glasses , pair of business glasses , pair of huge sunglasses , pair of sport sunglasses , pair of party glasses , red and blue cap , straw hat , green hat , knit hat , pirate hat , bubble blower , piggy bank , dog photo , stick , disposable camera , juice bottle , white boot , globe , blue camo disk , yellow flying disk , dice cushion and ? block i want to get a rc helicopter and jack russel book plus the japenees print collar .

I have 2 cheats, number 1: when u r on a walk, always look on the top screen.(keep an eye on your dog icon) because sometimes the icon stops. When it does that it can either: find a present on the ground, a bit of garbage or he has to go to the bath room. (having to go to the bathroom is the most common).
Number 2: How u know when the dog is going to get a present is when it barks once, but when he is going to meet another dog he barks twice. Although, when u have gotten 3 presents in a row max sometimes the dog barks once but then, instead, he meets a dog (not including prezzies found on the ground "question one").


I hope my cheats will come in handy for all u nintendogs lovers such as myself.

Yah here's something, once or twice my dog barked once and it seemed to have been another dog.

I love nintendogs. And the brush cheat thingie works for me. you have to use the rubber brush if you dog has short hair, and the wire brush if it has long hair. Put it on the dogs rib-cage. Also it is more likely to work if your dog has just had a bath and brushing. so this is the order:Bath,Brush,Then go to brush again and leave the brush on your dogs rib-cage. It works! I have two nintendogs games and it works for both of them.

i have 3 dogs zap a beagle painsy k.c spainial and a dalmation rosie and10634 tps and if u go on a walk and after you get all the ? you go to a park switch collors if it saves turn the game off then turn the game on and u can go on another walk strait away and still keep items from last walk hope it helps

I have Dalmatian and Friends, I got it a day ago. I have a female dalmatian named Lotus. I taught her sit, shake, and lie down in a flash. She won beginner class obedience. Dalmatians are good for obedience. I think I see some disc in her, but not sure. I'll test it out!

Yes it does take a long time but you could just do barkmode with someone who has a jack russell or has the book..

I think if there is something u really want 2 find, walk all your dogs nonstop bcuz datz xatly wat he did. and there is so many other awesome things that u can find if u find da weird alien and u despretly need money sell it it is worth 600 DOLLARS!!!!!!

nintendogs is possibly one of the best DS games i have ever played. I have a poodle named AJ, a boxer named Jerry, a german shepard named Jackson, two dalmations, Domino and Rose (I am currently breeding them) and a corgi named Kimora. I am unsure about the whole breeding thing. Idk if you need an action replay, which messes up your game. I hope you can breed them without an action replay! If you wanna try to breed them get:
A female and Male of the same breed

only feed them milk and dry dog food

do NOT take your female dog out for walks of enter them in competitions

You CAN take the males out for walks

It'll take 4 days, a week, or a week and 4 days for the female to have the puppy.

Im really sorry if it doesnt work, but you might want to try more than once, just in case!

I have all the different nintendogs games all 4 and my fav is dachshund and friends. My champion dog is a golden retriever named Missey, I have Daisy (Beagle), Kenny (Shiba Inu) Heidi (KCC), Miranda (Shetland) just to name a few. I have unlocked all the breeds apart from jack russel.

ive had nintendogs dalmatian and friends for quite a few years now (i got it when i was in like 4th grade and im in 8th now) and i still play it! i also cant wait for when i get the new nintendogs!! (nintendogs cats!!!) unfortunally, i WAS a hacker w/ my brother's AR and it completley wiped out my memory and i had to start ALL OVER. (hense i dont hack anymore) anyways, i have a dalmatian named speckls (not enough room 4 the 'e' lol) a jack russell named Daisy, and a labordor named Belle ( sounds like bell-aye. its french for beautiful (: )and a bunch more dogs in the hotel. in my many years of playing this game, i have never gotten bored of it. i havent collected all the items and i always remodel and buy new dogs. right now i have 78,610 tp and $30,777.71! i would have a lot more but like i said, my better account got deleted *sniff* anyways, heres some tips i have for the beginners!!

play with your dogs EVERY DAY. always keep them busy. take them on walks, throw a bone, or enter them in a contest. this will build up tp and lots of $$$ FAST! also, before walking, make sure your dog is full, quenched, and beautiful. you can also pet his/her head untill it sparkles a couple times before you go on your walk as well. (this will increase your chance of a rarer present). while walking, look at the top screen too. if the little doggy on the top screen is moving in place while your real dog is still walking, look out for a small present or trash on the street. if its trash, keep your dog away!! dont let them eat it! if theres a present, pull on the leash and they will pick it up!

to gain a lot of trainer points over night, get a dog with clean fur and select the brush that matches its fur type. (long=wire short=rubber) leave the brush on the middle of the dogs belly. IMPORTANT: leave your DS OPEN. do NOT close it! if you do, this cheat will not work! its a good idea to put it on silent and wait for the screen to go black, then go to bed. during this time, you will gain 3 tp every minute, up to thousands at a time! but you can also just gain tp just by spending time with your puppy. just by playing, or petting, or walking your dog, you will still earn those points! (QUICK CHEAT: if you pet your dog and he/she sparkles, you get trainer points!!)

When do you unlock the houses that you can walk into not the shops but the ones that you can't now (I have exactly 15000 trainer points) cuz it's blocked. The red dot is gray. When do u get those building or do u get them?

1. by doing contest or selling items you don't need to get money.
2. just keep walking your dogs and you'll find some.
3. you know how you have to teach your dog to sit when you first start the game well all you have to do is keep teaching your dog and if you look in your dog training books, there is a book about obedience trials, there you can find out what you need to teach your dog.

Did you know that there is another way to have puppies! Here's how:
What you have to do isdo barkmode with a friend and once your dogs meet and are at the house and they sniff each overs behinds turn your ds off then back on. who ever has the female might find a puppy. Make sure you and your friend has under 8 dogs because one of you will be sending a female and the other with the male.
