I think each and everyone, the journalists I mean, is stuffed with PS3 news and they are turning to the Wii, as also Microsoft's gaming console is so last Tuesday. Therefore, the date and the price for the Wii are now the headlines and all the web-based media has turned this subject up side down without any success.

Well, Nintendo's representatives had it with the rumors and decided 'to come clean' with a statement, an ambiguous one, which will resurrect the old debates. It seems they said today that the rumored details will be revealed in September. So, bye-bye Wii launch is September.

P.J. McNealy of American Technology Research again stated something about the Wii: "Our position remains that the Wii could retail as low as $199 instead of $249, and October is a reasonable timeframe."

Yesterday, though, Nintendo theoretically wanted to release the already famous gaming console - the Wii - earlier than the one of its challenger - Sony's PlayStation 3 - which is due for launch on November 17, if the latter will not change its mind again and delay again the shipping.

On the other hand, Nintendo representatives declared several times that the manufacturer's console will be cheaper than Xbox 360 and most of all PS3, which is theoretically 'ranked' at almost $600. In turn, the Wii will feature a reasonable price of a maximum $300.

Furthermore, the console will hit the market because of its advanced HD functions and of its innovative controller, which will look, as you already know, like an usual remote control, enabling the users to easily access the applications and features of the Wii.

But our analyst, P.J. McNealy of American Technology Research declared yesterday that: "Indeed, the company appears to be already manufacturing final retail units of the Wii, according to a June 21st analyst's note from. That would give it a significant head start over Sony (Charts), which has yet to begin final manufacturing of the PlayStation 3. Microsoft's first Xbox 360 did not roll off the assembly line last year until 69 days before the on sale date of Nov. 22. (That late start in production is the root cause behind last holiday's shortages.)."
