With three DSiWare additions, the Wii feels neglected with just one new game

Nintendo has prepared a new list of downloads for us, and, this time around, it is the Wii that has gotten the least attention from the company. Only one title resides in the WiiWare category this week, so it should be pretty easy for Nintendo's Eco Shooter to stand out. The game is a guided first-person shooter, in which players will fill the studded boots of Mack, Plant 530's top technician, as he tries to put an end to a world crisis. A race of evil aliens called Cannoids has animated the world's empty cans and is using them to destroy the planet.

You and your recycling canon are the only ones that can stop them, but be warned, waste is a capital sin here. Each and every one of your shots must count, as your ammo gauge also doubles as a life meter, so there's no spray and pray in this 1,000-Wii-Point game.

Next up, we're heading straight to the DSiWare, where we're greeted by two new installments in the Electroplankton series. Created by multimedia musician Toship Iwai, the Electroplankton is an aquatic species that acts as a musical instrument, responding to different types of stimulants and generating different sounds. The first new species added this week is the Sun-Animalcule, and this Electroplankton changes its pitch depending on where it grows, as it starts its life as an egg.

The second species that became a DSi game is the Luminarrow, and its sound varies depending on the direction in which it's heading. Gathering in large groups, there are four types of Luminarrows, red, yellow, blue and green, each one with its distinctive tone. Both Electroplankton games are priced at 200 DSi Points and are published by Nintendo.

The last title to be added this week to the DSiWare is Legends of Exidia, an 800-DSi-Point game published by Gameloft. It is an action RPG, where, by sword and magic, you'll have to defend the land of Exidia from an army of demons. The game features seven chapters and 25 side-quests that will take you through over 22 different environments.

The last entry in this week's download list is Street Fighter Alpha 2 for the Virtual Console. First released by Capcom on the Super Nintendo, the game is tagged at 800 Wii Points and will bring the classic fighting game to excited fans everywhere. The title features the Alpha Counters and the Custom Combo System available for all the old characters, the hidden characters, but also the brand-new additions made up of Rolento, Gen, Sakura and the classic Dhalsim and Zangief.
