Famous Nintendo games designer Shigeru Miyamoto has urged fans to buy the Wii U home console, as he outlined new ways of using the new device while explaining why new games haven't appeared as fast as possible.

The Wii U was released back in November of last year but, since then, it hasn't been selling as fast as Nintendo had hoped.

In a new interview, via DualShockers, Miyamoto has revealed new aspects of the Wii U, like the ability to watch YouTube videos on the GamePad, while explaining that Pikmin 3 and Wii Fit U were affected by issues with shaders, which resulted in delays.

What's more, because the Wii U hardware has been in a final version for a very short time, Miyamoto believes third-party developers still need time to get accustomed with the console.

In the end, Miyamoto highlights some of the big games coming out for the WIi U, like Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, or Mario Kart 8, and tells fans to "please buy a Wii U."
