If a game is good players won't trade it in, according to the famous designer

Nintendo's famous designer Shigeru Miyamoto is more worried about piracy than used games, as he believes that, if a great game is delivered to consumers, they won't be tempted to trade it in or buy a pre-owned copy of it.

Used games have been very controversial, and the fact that the Xbox One makes it more complex to trade in titles, while the PS4 does no such thing to impede the process, is turning out great for Sony.

Nintendo, on the other hand, isn't even worried about used games making an impact on its sales, as it's much more concerned about piracy, according to Shigeru Miyamoto, who talked with CVG.

"We're more worried about piracy and we think used games are a whole other story," Miyamoto said.

"In fact, from our perspective you want to create a game that people will want to keep and keep playing for a long time. That's the approach that we always take and that's the best way to avoid used games."

The 3DS handheld is pretty affected by piracy, as more developers are abandoning the console due to the existence of devices that enable such illegal actions.
