Satoru Iwata, the president and the chief executive officer of Nintendo, says that the company currently has ten new internally developed titles that will be launched during this year.

Go Nintendo cites information that was offered by the company during the recent briefing to investors and it’s not clear whether the publisher will deliver all the games via retail or if some of them are eShop only.

A limited software lineup is one of the main reasons for smaller than expected sales for the 3DS handheld, which is now set to only move 15 million devices to gamers before the end of the current fiscal year.

Nintendo says that the new video games are designed to appeal to a wide variety of players and some of them might include new Wii U related features.
