Nintendo of America has confirmed that it’s going to hold a special press conference in New York City on September 13 and many insiders are already expecting the company to finally reveal the price and the release date of the Nintendo Wii U.

Nintendo presented the final version of the Wii U back at E3 2012 in June, alongside many of the games that would be released for it during its launch period.

Sadly, the company refrained from actually revealing when the Wii U would be released and at what price.

Now, Nintendo of America has started inviting press members to a special event in New York City where they’ll learn “more about how the Wii U will change the future of gaming and entertainment.”

According to Kotaku, previous New York events from Nintendo revealed the price and release dates of other products, like the 3DS or the original Wii.

Expect to hear more rumors until the actual event next month.
