Nintendo doesn't want to repeat the pricey 3DS mistake

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has once again discussed the price of his company’s upcoming Wii U home console, saying only that it will be “reasonable” in order to attract lots of customers.

Nintendo presented the final version of the Wii U earlier this month at E3 2012 but, unfortunately for fans, a price or a release date was not mentioned.

This shouldn’t worry potential customers, however, as Nintendo President Satoru Iwata highlights that the price will be a “reasonable” one, as he doesn’t want to repeat the same mistake the company made with the expensive 3DS.

"We won't make the same mistake that we did with the 3DS, which was considered relatively high by consumers," Iwata told the Yomiuri Shimbun, via Andriasang.

As of yet, it seems that Nintendo is still quite secretive about the potential launch and price of the 3DS. Hopefully, we’ll get to hear more as we get closer to the winter holiday season.
