Version 2.1.3 U can be downloaded only via the device's update system

Nintendo released firmware version 2.1.3 U for their Wii U console. Users can update only via the device's menu.

The changelog that comes with this release says that the overall stability of the system has been improved. Joining the release notes is a heads up for those who hoped it was the update meant to bring new features and further improvements to the user experience. It says that the promised firmware is not forgotten and will be released in April.

According to Nintendo, the time necessary for the update to complete is about an hour but may vary significantly depending on your Internet connection speed.

The update procedure is simple, so everyone can handle it with ease. To get to firmware 2.1.3 U, one must enter the Wii U Menu, go to the “System Update” section, tap “Update” and wait.
