As part of its spring presentation of upcoming games and features, Nintendo has revealed details about some of the games that will debut soon on its Wii Ware digital download service for gamers. The two videogames featured were Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People (I just can't get enough of that name) and World of Goo.

World of Goo is created by Kyle Gabler, founder of 2D Boy, an indie developer that currently employs just three people. The game is something like a puzzle game meets construction toolset, and sees little goo-like creatures being built up to create different construction projects. The game will be controlled via the Wii Remote with a lot of drag and drop actions. Support for multiple remotes will be added so that, as in Super Mario Galaxy, one player can take the main role in the game while another can help out when things get tough for the first player. Gabler said that: "We've found parents really like playing with their kids, so I don't know, that's cool I guess."

As an example of what indie development means in terms of game production he made a point of talking about the music in World of Goo. The 2D Boy head developer says: "The music is all original. Most of the instruments are computer-generated, and the real ones were recorded in my living room. The drums are banging on tables and cardboard boxes and stuff. Sometimes it kind of sounds like real music."

The other game showcased was Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. The plot of the videogame will be based on the assumption that Homerstar Runner is under police warrant for public indecency and decides to hide out in Strong Bad's house. The main gameplay objective, at least in the first installment of the episodic game, will be to get Homestar out of the house through a variety of puzzles and other minigames. A lot of comic-book-like content will be available in the game, with players able to pick up different parts and string them together to create their own narrative.

No clear date has been announced by Nintendo as to when the game will be available for play.
