Nintendo might have revealed a slew of bad financial results for the fiscal year which ended on March 31, but the company is still very good at selling video games and has revealed impressive overall numbers for its high-profile franchises on the 3DS handheld, the older DS and the Wii home console.

The biggest seller is by far Wii Sports, which comes bundled with almost all new consoles, which has sold 79.6 million copies and even the rather niche Kirby Mass Attack has managed to sell more than 1 million units on the DS handheld.

Nintendo has also revealed that it has managed to sell 37 million Balance Board peripherals for the Wii, despite the fact that the hardware can only be used to play the various fitness titles released for the platform.

The publisher and hardware developer reported a loss and has plans to beef up sales of the Nintendo 3DS and launch the Wii U in order to reverse the trend for fiscal 2013.
