Nintendo unveiled two new transparent Nintendo 2DS models, which are also featured in two neat Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire bundles.

The offer is very similar to the one Nintendo made last October, when the first 2DS models were unveiled alongside Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, which turned out to be a pretty good move from the Japanese corporation.

Now, the company intends to bank on the upcoming release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the remakes of the old Game Boy Advance classics.

The hardware

This year, Nintendo decided to employ the strategy once again, making the hardware and software intertwined and most likely hoping to see sales take off.

As such, the company unveiled the two new transparent 2DS models, which will be included in two different Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire bundles.

The basic models will also be launched as standalone systems, starting November 17 in Europe. The bundles will arrive on November 28, and each one will come with either Pokemon Omega Ruby or Pokemon Alpha Sapphire preinstalled on the system's 4GB memory card.

In addition to this, Nintendo has also confirmed that the Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire demo will become available for 3DS and 2DS owners to try out sometime in October.

The games

The two games will feature two unique transformations of the legendary Pokemon depicted in the box cover art, Groudon and Kyogre, called Primal Reversions. The evolutions will enable each of the two to employ unique abilities, as well as to change weather conditions and affect gameplay and other Pokemon abilities.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will each feature its own faction, dubbed Team Magma and Team Aqua, battling for opposing ideals, with the former intending to transform the world so that humans can flourish at the expense of wildlife and Pokemon, and the latter attempting to preserve the natural order and coexist in peace.

The action in the upcoming games takes place on the continent of Hoenn, just like in the 2002 Game Boy Advance originals, but Nintendo has packed in much more than just prettier visuals.

Gamers will be able to explore the large world, collect new and exciting Pokemon, as well as various fan favorites, and will be able to dress up Pikachu in various cosplay costumes and even become a Pokemon trainer in the gym.

In addition to this, the company has also added a bunch of new and exciting content, as well as revised interactions and mechanics, offering a greatly enhanced experience.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire are coming out on November 21 in Japan, Australasia and North America, and on November 28 in Europe, headed to the Nintendo 3DS handheld platform.
