The Nintendo 3DS is set to receive a steady stream of games after its release, with the Japanese company ensuring that people won't be bored of the new device.
Nintendo is set to launch the 3DS handheld next month in its native Japan, and is taking every step to ensure that everything goes off without a hitch.
Now, Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata has talked with local newspaper Nihon Keizai Shimbun (via Andriasang) that the 3DS will be supported by a steady stream of releases after its official launch.
"It's important that you be able to supply software with no pause," said Iwata. "With the DS and Wii, following the titles that were released at launch, the momentum dropped when there was a gap in software releases. We're making plans so that this type of thing won't happen."
Yesterday Nintendo already revealed
the titles that would be available at launch for the 3DS.
Among them were addictive titles like Nintendogs + Cats, as well as Konami's Winning Eleven 3D or Capcom's Super Street Fighter IV 3D fighting game.
The Japanese company also promised that more big games, like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Steel Driver or Pilotwings Resort, would be released in Spring.
Summer will also be a great season for the 3DS, with games like Star Fox 64 3D and Kid Icarus: Uprising set to appear at that time.
Mario Kard 3DS, Animal Crossing 3DS or Paper Mario 3DS were also promised by Nintendo, but concrete release dates haven't been established.
The Nintendo 3DS is set to be the most important handheld launch of the year, as it will finally offer 3D gaming to the masses, without requiring special glasses or any other gimmicks.
Nintendo is looking forward to its release, and is confident that it will be a landmark moment for 3D technology and portable gaming.
The Nintendo 3DS will be launched next month in Japan, and will arrive in the rest of the world around March.
