Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has confirmed in a recent press conference that the company has quite a few unannounced Wii U games that will be launched in 2013.

However, it won't reveal them right now in order to prevent competitors from copying them.

Nintendo presented plenty of new games for the Wii U and 3DS platforms last month at E3 2013 through its different Direct video conferences.

Now, during an investors meeting in Japan translated by Cheesemeister on Twitter, the company's President, Satoru Iwata, revealed a few more details about the strategy concerning Wii U game announcements.

The executive noted that there are a few Wii U games that will appear in 2013 that have yet to be announced.

This strategy of revealing games as close to their release as possible was adopted by Nintendo because of the danger of competitors copying game mechanics.

No other details were given about these unannounced Wii U games, so owners of the console will have to wait and see.
