Nintendo has announced the new games that have been released this week on its online stores, the WiiWare and DSiWare services. Unfortunately for those who enjoy the blasts from the past, no Virtual Console games will be launched this week.
Wii owners can add two new games to their library of downloadable titles: Pearl Harbor Trilogy - 1941: Red Sun Rising and Cruise Party. Pearl Harbor Trilogy is an air combat game that features dogfights, search and destroy missions and two story campaigns based on historical events from the battle between Japan and the United States during World War II in the Pacific. Players are able to purchase and download this light flight sim for 700 Wii Points.
Cruise Party is another party title that focuses on gambling games, like slots, roulette, blackjack or poker. It is priced at 800 Wii Points.
Nintendo DSiWare has a bigger offer this week with no less than six new entries in its catalogue. Quick Pick Farmers is a puzzle game involving sheep and wolves that can be purchased for 200 DSi Points. Soul of Darkness is a Castlevania clone developed by the mobile and handheld masters at Gameloft, which can be downloaded for 500 DSi Points.
SteamWorld Tower Defense is a strategy game that allows players to fill in the shoes of a robot sheriff that must prevent humans from stealing gold; it costs 500 DSi Points. 101 Shark Pets is a self-explanatory title fulfilling the dreams of those who always wanted to have a pet shark and take care of it; priced at 500 DSi Points. Hello Flowerz is a gardening simulation available for 500 DSi Points, and Flips: The Folk of the Faraway Tree is an e-book published by Electronic Arts that can be purchased for 500 DSi Points.
