The long awaited Wii supply is finally shipping to retailers

Going back a couple of weeks ago (if not less), big-time retailer Gamestop was complaining of Wii shortages. Stuff like this makes you wonder: "Wow! Is the Wii kicking its rivals' arses that hard?" Guess it is, but then why wouldn't Nintendo supply retailers with them? Actually, the manufacturer is doing everything in its power to supply stores such as EB Games and Gamestop, only the little bugger sells so good, that Nintendo can't keep up. Of course, Gamestop could have said it had no Wiis even before the shortage, sensing a great demand on the way, thus pushing Nintendo into shipping some more units. But that isn't important right now.

However, this is: one of Joystiq's reliable sources sent in the picture of an internal Gamestop email, saying that it will be getting the much-cried-for supply of Wiis, as it will be participating in the 4/29 FSI, receiving 200 copies of sales flyers, which they must keep until Friday. Then, Wii units mustn't be touched until Sunday, when the store will be allowed to start selling the hardware.

Coinciding with the Wii supply at Gamestop and EB, the site says are supplies of Microsoft's elusive Xbox 360 Elite, and Sony's PS2 (not the 80GB one), which pops a big question for everyone: "Does this mean that Gamestop and EB have sold all their PS3s and are asking for more?" And there's no news about that? Huh!
