Video game developer First Playable and independent publisher GameMill Entertainment have announced that they will launch a Nintendo DS-based video game called Silverlicious, based on the well-known series of children books from author Victoria Kann.

The game will be launched during the month of March and young players will be able to take control of main character Pinkalicious as she tries to regain her lost ability of tasting anything sweet.

The adventure will see players practice positive values like good manners, kindness and charity while exploring the world of the Silverlicious book.

Players will also be able to unlock magical rewards like sparkle rides, fireworks and butterflies as they explore the game world and meet new friends drawn in an enchanting style, like Carlos Cupid, Edgar the Easter Bunny and Easter chicks.

The Silverlicious game is clearly aimed at children, and as the more hardcore gamers migrate to the new 3DS model, the older DS might become the main platform for such small and simple adventures based on licensed properties.
