14 DAY TRIAL // After Nintendo and the Pokemon Company have announced that players have traded close to 90 million Pokemon since the launch of Pokemon X & Pokemon Y, they informed their fans that they intend to celebrate the approaching 100 millionth trade with a couple of nice giveaways.
Once the trading counter goes past the 100 million threshold, all Pokemon X & Pokemon Y players will be able to download a Fancy Pattern Vivillon. The exact details of the redemption process will become available on the Pokemon website, once the milestone is met, the celebration starts and the giveaway goes live.
If you want to help the global effort of hitting the 100 million mark, all you have to do is continue doing what you already were, using the Global Trade Station.
Taking into account the fact that approximately 12 million units of the two Pokemon titles have been sold so far, it’s not far-fetched to say that you won’t have to wait very long until the special edition Vivillon will be yours.
Nintendo’s decision to reward its very loyal fan base is the sort of thing that establishes a strong and loyal fan base in the first place, so hats off to them.
