Nintendo has suddenly revealed that it will hold a new press conference tomorrow, October 21, that focuses on the 3DS handheld console, and will also detail some of the new things included in the upcoming firmware update for the device.

The Nintendo 3DS wasn't the huge success the company wanted when it was released, but the recent price cut boosted sales by a considerable margin. What's more, ahead of the 2011 Tokyo Games Show, the company held another surprise 3DS conference, where it confirmed accessories like the Circle Pad add-on and new software features.

Now, the Japanese company has confirmed that another conference will be held, focusing once again on the 3DS console, delivering news that were previously "impossible" to share at the pre-TGS event, according to Kotaku.

Until tomorrow, we know for sure that the 3DS will receive a major firmware update early next month, delivering options like 3D video recording, an improved eShop interface and a new activity for the StreetPass mode.
