Many fans were unconvinced when Capcom announced that Ninja Theory was handling development of the new DmC: Devil May Cry, but the publisher says the development team was very dedicated and keen to listen to the wisdom of the original series’ creators.

Alex Jones, a producer working at Capcom, tells VG247 that, “These guys have been amazing, like most developers would had three or four random guys from Japan show up at some point and start lecturing them about how to do stuff, and it might not have gone as well.”

Both sides were willing to listen to each other’s ideas and modify the DmC experience to best fit the common ground that they found.

The new Devil May Cry will be launched on January 15 on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 and on January 25 on the PC.

we wanted DMC5 not DmC its an ok game but doesnt match the gameplay speed and style of DMC 3 or DMC 4.i was expecting over the top funny one liners and very fast fluent combat but what we got was ok at best.its better than devil may cry 2 but that was never going to be hard to beat was it

Disagree completely in my opinion this is by a comfortable mile the best in the series. so people i believe look back on previous dmc games with rose tinted glasses having played through the hd collection they are far from stella games by today's standards and while the main character had some appeal back in the day he now come across as a derivative anime stereotyped * . Ninja theory have done an amazing job of revitalising this ageing franchise and anyone with an interest in combo heavy fast paced and balanced action game with a good story then dont hesitate to pick this game up.
